Senior Project Manager – Business & Technology Transformation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major fleet technology upgrade programme for a nationally recognised organisation. The role will replace legacy systems across more than 400 operational assets, support the introduction of new vessels, and manage supplier relationships, rollout coordination, operational readiness, governance and business change in a safety-critical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multi-million-pound transformation programme from trial through to full rollout.
• Coordinate workstreams including engineering, suppliers, rollout planning, operational readiness and business change.
• Manage governance, RAID activities, reporting, budgets and delivery timelines.
• Operate across structured delivery and agile discovery activities as required.
• Build strong relationships with engineering, operational and portfolio teams.
• Engage and manage demanding stakeholders with confidence and emotional intelligence.
• Balance delivery speed with governance, safety and operational risk considerations.
• Provide clarity, structure and momentum in a fast-moving programme environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering large-scale technology and business transformation programmes.
• Experience in operational or safety-critical environments where governance, risk and health & safety are paramount.
• Proven ability to manage complex operational or engineering-led projects.
• Strong planning and coordination capabilities across project teams, suppliers and delivery activities.
• Extensive business change experience, including managing operational impact on end users and supporting large-scale changes to systems, processes and ways of working.

What we offer

• Hybrid working model – two days per week onsite on the South Coast.
• Salary range of £55,000–£60,000 per annum.
• 12-month fixed-term contract.
