Senior Property Disputes Lawyer

About the role

AJ Chambers is expanding its high‑performing property litigation team in Hertfordshire. The Senior Property Disputes Lawyer will independently manage a varied portfolio of residential and commercial property cases, delivering expert advice and strategic solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload covering freehold and leasehold issues, lease renewals, terminations, breaches, non‑payment of rent, forfeiture, dilapidations and easements.
• Handle trespassing, nuisance, title disputes, service‑charge disputes, co‑ownership matters and first‑tier tribunal applications.
• Ensure strict adherence to court and tribunal deadlines with high‑quality case management.
• Assess claims, analyse strengths and weaknesses of defences, and advise clients accordingly.
• Deliver training sessions and support the professional development of junior staff.
• Maintain regular client communication and reporting throughout case progression.
• Contribute to business development and practice growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with extensive experience in property dispute litigation.
• Proactive, independent working style with a strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage complex, high‑value cases across residential and commercial sectors.
• Experience mentoring junior lawyers and delivering training.
