Senior RME Technician

About the role

As a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Technician you will lead a shift team at Amazon's Swindon fulfilment centre, ensuring that all equipment operates at peak performance. You will monitor processes, drive preventative maintenance and implement improvements across the EU network.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate and enforce best practice for safe equipment use.
• Perform visual checks, condition‑based monitoring and schedule preventative maintenance.
• Supervise technicians on shift, supporting their development and acting as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimise downtime and keep package processing flowing.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the EU network.
• Monitor equipment performance using tools such as SCADA and assist with administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading shift teams in an industrial or fulfilment environment.
• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance, condition‑based monitoring and preventative maintenance practices.
• Ability to work shift patterns, including weekends and nights.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a focus on operational uptime.
