Senior Site Manager – Aviation Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Site Manager to lead our aviation construction team at Manchester Airport. You will be responsible for overseeing civil engineering works, ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards are met while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations for airport infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, client, subcontractors, suppliers and designers.
• Monitor health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) compliance on site.
• Allocate resources efficiently to maximise productivity and return.
• Maintain effective communication with site personnel and the public.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
• CSCS Supervisor card.
• Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent CITB certification.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality and environmental issues in civil engineering.
• Proven experience in civil engineering site management.
