Senior SOC Engineer

About the role

Join a leading cyber security services organisation as a Senior SOC Engineer. You will own the technology, automation and engineering capabilities that power a modern Security Operations Centre, working closely with operational teams to improve threat detection and response.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and optimise SIEM, XDR and SOAR platforms.
• Build security automation, integrations and response workflows.
• Develop log parsing, data normalisation and telemetry solutions.
• Lead technical onboarding and implementation projects for customers.
• Act as an escalation point for complex security engineering issues.
• Mentor SOC analysts and engineers.
• Maintain engineering documentation, standards and best‑practice guides.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in a SOC or cyber security engineering environment.
• Eligibility for UK security clearance is desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
