Red Team Operator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Red Team Operator to join Interrupt Labs in Basingstoke. You will work alongside leading offensive security experts to plan and execute realistic adversary simulations for mature organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute full‑scope red team engagements against complex targets.
• Develop and adapt custom tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) to bypass modern defensive tooling.
• Build and maintain bespoke tooling and implants from initial access through to mission objectives.
• Conduct threat‑intelligence‑led assessments where relevant.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience delivering multi‑phase red team operations, not just penetration tests.
• Comfortable creating custom offensive tools in languages such as C, C#, Rust, Go or Python.
• Strong understanding of Linux and Windows authentication mechanisms, trust relationships and common defensive controls.
• Adversary mindset – patient, methodical and creative when the obvious path is blocked.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Eligible to hold, or already holding, UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
• Willing to commute to our Basingstoke office.
