Senior Software Developer – up to £80,000 + Benefits + Bonus

About the role

Involved Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to design, build and maintain secure, scalable digital services for major public‑sector transformation programmes. The role focuses on Python development, cloud‑native solutions on AWS and modern DevOps practices within Agile delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python‑based applications and secure RESTful APIs.
• Build cloud‑native services using AWS, micro‑services and event‑driven architectures.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to implement automated CI/CD pipelines and reliable deployments.
• Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Support production systems, improving performance, resilience and reliability.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across teams.
• Contribute to Agile planning, technical design and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience developing Python applications.
• Hands‑on experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Proven ability to work in Agile delivery environments.
• Experience mentoring developers and influencing engineering standards.
