Senior Software Engineer – Chromium

About the role

Menlo Security is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Chromium engineering team supporting the Menlo Agent Runtime Security (MARS) AI initiative. You will work on high‑performance, security‑focused browser components and integrate AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers into the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Chromium‑based browser components in C++ across layers such as content, browser, core, compositor, Skia, and networking.
• Apply strong networking and HTTP security expertise to harden browser isolation and network‑facing infrastructure.
• Partner with the MARS team to integrate AI agents and MCP servers into Menlo’s platform.
• Develop supporting tooling and prototypes using Python or Rust.
• Deploy and operate cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Terraform) for agent/MCP workloads.
• Debug, profile, and optimize performance‑critical, high‑scale systems.

Required profile

• Strong C++ engineering skills.
• Solid networking fundamentals with knowledge of HTTP security.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
