Senior Software Engineer – Node/TypeScript

About the role

Roku’s Enterprise Engineering team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep backend expertise in TypeScript and Node.js. You will help build and maintain internal tools that power Roku’s accounting, finance, and business operations, while also contributing to modern front‑end applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using TypeScript/Node.js.
• Build full‑stack enterprise applications that support accounting, finance, and other business workflows.
• Architect solutions that are reliable, maintainable, and scalable for internal, business‑critical processes.
• Own end‑to‑end test automation, creating and maintaining E2E test suites.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Integrate AI coding tools (Claude, Copilot, OpenCode, etc.) into daily development to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Develop internal developer tooling, automation, and agentic workflows.
• Participate in technical design discussions and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development expertise in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience building production web applications with modern front‑end frameworks such as React and Next.js.
• Comfortable working in an AI‑first engineering environment.
• Ability to work closely with finance and accounting teams to deliver technical solutions.
