Senior Structural Engineer – Mixed‑Use Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a well‑established engineering consultancy operating in Bradford and Leeds. The role involves delivering structural solutions for a diverse portfolio of mixed‑use developments, from concept through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of residential, commercial, retail, education and regeneration projects.
• Manage project delivery, ensuring compliance with UK design standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers and contractors to integrate structural solutions.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical development within the team.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified civil/structural engineer with several years of experience in mixed‑use projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Chartered status desirable, or a clear pathway towards chartership.

Required skills

• Structural design using UK design standards (BS, Eurocodes).
• Knowledge of construction materials such as steel, concrete and timber.
• Experience with mixed‑use development schemes.
