Senior Supervising Social Worker

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly team at Foster Care Associates. The role is full‑time and hybrid, based in Sheffield, supporting fostering services across Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley.

Key responsibilities

• Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children in care.
• Supervise, support and monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents.
• Ensure foster homes provide safe, healthy, nurturing and learning environments.
• Visit foster parents and children in their homes and travel to the regional office as required.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold fostering regulations and policies.

Required profile

• Qualified social worker with experience in fostering or children’s services.
• Strong commitment to the welfare of looked‑after children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel within the Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley area.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
