Senior Technical Business Analyst/Data Product Owner – Fixed Income

About the role

Our client, a leading global investment manager, is expanding its European operations and seeks a senior, data‑focused Technical Business Analyst/Data Product Owner for the Fixed Income team. This director‑level position will lead complex data initiatives, design scalable applications, and drive the end‑to‑end delivery of fixed income data products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and drive business and data initiatives, designing scalable solutions for fixed income stakeholders.
• Mentor delivery teams in building data products, identifying automation opportunities and integrating emerging technologies.
• Develop high‑quality, well‑documented business requirements and ensure modern coding practices are followed.
• Partner with tech leads to refine product roadmaps, capture technical designs, and work closely with delivery teams.
• Lead backlog refinement, prioritisation and sprint planning with clear acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes.
• Conduct advanced SQL analysis, review stored procedures and Java code to map end‑to‑end processes.

Required profile

• Deep asset‑management experience, specifically within fixed income.
• Extensive background as a data product owner or technical business analyst handling large‑scale datasets.
• Proven ability to develop product roadmaps, manage backlogs and guide prioritisation using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong data‑management expertise, including data evaluation, mapping and integration with internal/external applications.
• Leadership experience with cross‑functional teams and stakeholder influencing skills.
