Senior Treasury FX Manager

About the role

Monzo is seeking a Senior Treasury FX Manager to lead the evolution of its global foreign exchange strategy. The role bridges Treasury, Data, Product and Engineering to build a scalable, automated FX execution environment and manage FX risk across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement an automated execution environment to optimise netting and minimise hedging costs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external liquidity providers to secure efficient pricing and liquidity.
• Architect data‑driven FX hedging strategies in partnership with Data, Product and Engineering to unlock new revenue streams.
• Own the FX execution framework, proposing enhancements to policies, controls and systems.
• Expand Monzo’s global currency footprint and lead Treasury readiness for new markets, ensuring robust risk controls within a multi‑entity FX framework.
• Manage FX exposure to optimise capital efficiency while supporting FX product growth.
• Partner with Product squads on new FX product launches and collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to enhance internal FX capabilities.
• Collaborate with finance, second‑ and third‑line defence stakeholders to ensure safe and scalable growth.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in a high‑paced, high‑flow FX environment (bank, asset manager, broker or payment company).
