Senior Treaty Technician

About the role

Our Reinsurance Broking client is seeking an experienced Senior Reinsurance Technician to support a portfolio of complex Treaty Reinsurance business. This senior technical position combines specialist processing expertise with mentorship and exceptional client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end technical processing activities across proportional and excess of loss business.
• Support Treaty accounts across complex reinsurance programmes.
• Process premiums, pro‑rata settlements and claims transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and issue client and market documentation.
• Liaise with brokers, clients and reinsurers on technical processing matters.
• Maintain account statistics and support portfolio reporting activities.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues, acting as a trusted technical referral point.

Required profile

• Experience handling complex Treaty reinsurance business.
• Excellent technical knowledge of London Market systems, including IMR, CLASS, ECF and LORS.
• Ability to resolve complex or unusual technical issues and implement practical solutions.
• Strong Excel skills, able to analyse and maintain account and portfolio data.
• Ability to build and maintain excellent business relationships with colleagues, clients, reinsurers and other market partners.
