Service Engineer – Precision Machinery

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join a market‑leading organisation that designs and supplies automated machining systems. You will work across the South‑East and South‑West of the M25, travelling to customer sites to install, commission and maintain high‑precision equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and service advanced high‑precision manufacturing systems at customer locations.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and software‑related faults and carry out corrective actions.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on capital equipment.
• Provide technical support, training and advice to customers.
• Maintain high standards of service delivery and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the wider UK engineering team while often working independently.

Required profile

• Proven track record as a Service Engineer in industrial capital equipment or a similar field.
• Background in machining, CNC, precision engineering or automation.
• Hands‑on experience installing, maintaining or servicing large‑scale equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding abilities.
• Comfortable working in production or manufacturing environments.
• Excellent communication skills and customer‑facing experience.
