SHEQ Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic SHEQ Advisor to join Grundon’s head office in Benson. The role supports the organisation’s commitment to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality excellence, providing practical guidance and ensuring compliance with legislation and industry best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive SHEQ advice and support across the business.
• Translate legislation into clear procedures and management system documentation.
• Monitor health & safety legislation and disseminate updates.
• Champion a positive health & safety culture and conduct site visits, inspections and audits.
• Lead accident and incident investigations and produce recommendations.
• Develop and deliver SHEQ communications, toolbox talks and performance dashboards.
• Organise Safety Champion meetings and support manual handling programmes.
• Deliver SHEQ training, including inductions and mandatory courses.
• Produce internal safety content and analyse SHEQ data for reporting.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of SHEQ principles and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work flexibly to support shift patterns.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and standards.
• Ability to develop and maintain SHEQ documentation and procedures.
• Competence in delivering training and safety communications.
