Site Electrical Supervisor

About the role

Join Trant Engineering as a Site Electrical Supervisor, overseeing electrical teams on high‑impact EPC projects for clients such as National Grid and National Gas. You will ensure safe, on‑time delivery of electrical installations across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electricians, apprentices and subcontractors, allocating work and monitoring productivity.
• Oversee installation of containment, cabling, control panels, MCCs, motors, pumps and instrumentation.
• Enforce HSE procedures, conduct toolbox talks and manage permit‑to‑work processes.
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671, client specifications and conduct inspections and defect rectification.
• Maintain accurate daily records, test results, as‑built documentation and progress reports.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical and process teams and liaise with project managers and client representatives.
• Promote company core values of Care, Trust, Respect and Sustainability.

Required profile

• JIB Gold Card holder.
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• 5‑7 years of electrical installation experience on industrial or infrastructure projects.
• 2‑3 years in a supervisory role.
• Desirable: SMSTS / SSSTS certification, NG Person, SHEA Gas qualification.

Required skills

• Electrical installation of containment, cabling, control panels and MCCs.
• Testing, inspection and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
• Ability to produce and review QA/QC documentation and ITPs.
