Site Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Site Engineer to join the A66 project team in Penrith. You will play a key role in delivering a major infrastructure project, ensuring that works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required design and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and control your section of the works in line with agreed programmes, quality standards, and health‑and‑safety obligations.
• Maintain positive relationships with the client and key stakeholders.
• Ensure safe working practices are always upheld on site.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and business partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Promote continuous improvement and share best practice across activities.

Required profile

• Degree, HNC or equivalent in Construction, Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or relevant on‑site experience.
• Valid CSCS card with a strong understanding of health, safety and quality standards.
• Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and a passion for high‑quality infrastructure delivery.

What we offer

• Salary £32,000‑£42,000 per year plus a £4,750 annual car allowance.
• Full‑time permanent contract (45 hours per week) on‑site in Penrith.
