Site Manager – Automated Warehouse Fit‑out

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a major Automated Shuttle Racking System installation. You will own a complex industrial fit‑out that combines automation, structural steelwork, conveyors and full warehouse infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring safety, quality and programme compliance.
• Coordinate civil works, MEP teams, automation partners and equipment suppliers.
• Manage installation of racking structures and liaise with shuttle system and conveyor/AMR suppliers.
• Verify that all works meet engineering drawings, specifications and rack tolerances.
• Lead site safety activities including inductions, toolbox talks and incident reporting.
• Maintain accurate documentation such as permits, inspection reports and safety records.
• Resolve on‑site issues, escalate risks and support decision‑making for critical activities.
• Assist with commissioning, testing and integration alongside automation engineers and OEMs.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing industrial or warehouse fit‑out projects, preferably with automated racking.
• Background in civil, mechanical or electrical construction.
• Strong understanding of racking systems, automation, conveyors and warehouse infrastructure.
• Confident working with multiple subcontractors and technical teams on a live site.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, layouts and interface documentation.
