SmartComm Developer – Remote (Montreal Consulting Team)

About the role

We are seeking a SmartComm Developer to join our consulting team that operates out of Montreal. The position is fully remote with occasional travel to Cambridge, Ontario, and focuses on building and maintaining document generation solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SmartComm templates and communications for print, digital, and document generation workflows.
• Configure and compose document templates to meet business requirements.
• Integrate SmartComm solutions with enterprise platforms, preferably Guidewire.
• Perform XML data mapping and work with document generation frameworks.
• Support cloud‑based deployments and document archival processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing with Smart Communications (SmartComm).
• Strong background in document template configuration and composition.
• Experience integrating SmartComm with enterprise systems, with Guidewire knowledge preferred.
• Familiarity with XML, data mapping, and document generation technologies.
• Exposure to insurance domain processes is a plus.
