SMD Machine Operator – Late Shift

About the role

We are seeking a reliable SMD Machine Operator to work the late shift on our Surface Mount production line at our Dartford facility. The role involves operating both automated and manual equipment to produce high‑quality fire control panels for global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, operate and adjust SMT printers, pick‑and‑place machines, reflow ovens and AOI inspection equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and ensure output meets company standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment, adhering to all health‑and‑safety and hazardous‑material procedures.
• Support both automated and manual surface‑mount manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year experience in SMT or surface‑mount manufacturing (training provided as needed).
• Ability to work to tight deadlines with high accuracy.
• Good manual dexterity and the capacity to read diagrams and follow instructions.
• Computer literate with basic decision‑making skills.
