SME Account Executive – Commercial Insurance (Hybrid, Leeds)

About the role

We are seeking an SME Account Executive to join a growing independent insurance brokerage in Leeds. The role combines relationship management of an existing portfolio with the generation of new business from warm leads and referrals, all within a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, generating approximately £100k in annual income.
• Build strong relationships and act as the primary point of contact for SME clients.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and convert warm leads into new business.
• Conduct insurance reviews, negotiate terms with insurers, and manage policy renewals and mid‑term adjustments.
• Support clients throughout the claims process and ensure compliance with FCA and industry regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial insurance broking, sales, or account management.
• Good knowledge of SME commercial insurance products and a proactive, sales‑focused mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and work towards CII certification (Dip CII desirable).

• Acturis insurance platform experience.
