Social Media Executive – Women's Team

About the role

West Ham United Women are looking for a creative and organised Social Media Executive to shape the club’s voice across digital platforms. You will lead content planning, live matchday coverage and storytelling that engages fans locally and globally.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and publish content on Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp.
• Lead live women’s matchday social coverage, including behind‑the‑scenes updates and fan‑focused storytelling.
• Create social‑first assets such as player‑led videos, matchday clips and behind‑the‑scenes features.
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, partnerships and retail teams to align campaigns.
• Work with designers, photographers and videographers to maintain brand standards.
• Track KPIs (engagement, reach, follower growth, watch‑time) and use analytics to optimise strategy.
• Ensure all content complies with club policies, safeguarding duties and league regulations.

Required profile

• Experience managing social media channels, preferably in sport, entertainment or major brands.
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality content under tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of football culture, fan behaviour and fast‑moving news cycles.
• Comfortable working in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments.
