Social Media Lead – Financial Services (Senior Associate)

About the role

Capital One is seeking a creative yet analytically‑minded Social Media Lead to drive the brand’s presence across UK social channels. This senior‑associate position will shape strategy, produce engaging content, and ensure compliance within a regulated financial‑services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the overall social media strategy for the UK, defining channel roles, content plans, tone of voice and narrative.
• Collaborate with PR and paid‑media teams to deliver integrated, multi‑channel campaigns from briefing to sign‑off.
• Lead the content‑creator programme, selecting partners and ensuring all output is on‑brand and compliant.
• Work closely with performance‑marketing to integrate social media into broader marketing initiatives, including GEO and AI discoverability.
• Coordinate with international partner teams to uphold International Brand Governance Standards.
• Brief internal and external creative teams on insights, competitor activity and best practices.
• Oversee production of visual assets and copy for social campaigns, maintaining brand relevance.
• Report on KPIs, campaign performance and brand metrics on a regular cadence.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing social media for financial services, fintech or other regulated sectors.
• Strong analytical mindset paired with creative storytelling ability.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
• Senior‑associate level experience, comfortable leading cross‑functional projects.
