Software Developer (Hybrid) – Health & Social Care Charity

About the role

Change Grow Live is seeking a compassionate and technically skilled Software Developer to enhance its in‑house web application that supports frontline health and social care professionals. The role is hybrid, offering flexible remote work with access to office space in major UK cities and occasional travel to Leeds for hackathons and team events.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a complex web‑based electronic patient record, case management and quality management system.
• Write new features primarily in TypeScript using NestJS and SvelteKit.
• Containerise applications with Docker and deploy via Amazon ECS.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Pulumi.
• Design, implement and run unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests.
• Collaborate on security best practices and incident‑free culture.

Required profile

• Strong interest in health and social care impact.
• Familiarity with SQL and ability to write queries.
• Good fundamentals in HTML, CSS and JavaScript in the browser.
• Debugging and testing experience in any language.
• Willingness to learn Perl and adopt new technologies quickly.
• Commitment to building secure, reliable software.
