Software Developer – Hybrid (London)

About the role

Join Tracsis Group's engineering team in London to deliver software that supports rail and transport operations used by millions of people every day. As a Software Developer you will design, build and maintain high‑quality Java applications that are secure, scalable and performant.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software applications using modern Java technologies and frameworks.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that follows engineering standards.
• Contribute to the architecture of scalable, secure, and high‑performing systems.
• Collaborate with team members through code reviews, shared best practices, and Agile ceremonies.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues and performance challenges.
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
• Enhance deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Experience building Java applications, preferably with Java EE, Jakarta EE or the Spring Framework.
• Comfortable writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, data structures and algorithms.
• Good knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
