Software Engineer – .NET C#

About the role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our global team, responsible for the quality, development, and execution of our software products. You will work within TransPerfect’s TechOps department alongside professionals across Barcelona, New York, London, Manchester, Bucharest and India.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in all phases of application development, focusing on coding, debugging, and security standards throughout the lifecycle.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code/APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, designers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Integrate user‑facing elements with server‑side logic alongside front‑end developers.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devise solutions, and optimise applications for performance, scalability and security.
• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data.
• Develop automation tests and work with automation engineers for regression testing.
• Provide personalised software support to users and document operational procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience building scalable, reliable systems.
• Strong knowledge of .NET C#, LINQ, MS SQL, Entity Framework and version control (Git).
• Familiarity with SOLID principles, clean‑code practices and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with RESTful services, API design, and database development (SQL Server or NoSQL).
• Good communication and collaboration skills in a cross‑functional team.
