Software Engineer – £50k-£100k+ + Equity

About the role

Join a small, high‑impact engineering team at Opfyx Ltd to build and scale mission‑critical systems that replace legacy aviation infrastructure. You will work on live airport environments, shaping the future of global air travel for billions of passengers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate highly available software for live aviation environments using Rust and Flutter.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to develop distributed and federated architectures supporting complex operational workflows.
• Improve reliability, performance, and user experience across the Opfyx AIR platform while helping define engineering practices.

Required profile

• A self‑starter with strong technical instincts across the full stack and the ability to own projects end‑to‑end.
• Experience or a strong willingness to master a high‑performance stack including Rust, Flutter/Dart, gRPC, Arrow, and Postgres.
• A user‑first mindset with the technical caliber to build scalable systems for an industry that moves billions of people annually.
