Software Solutions Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Software Solutions Architect to lead the software architecture of a fast‑growing R&D team developing advanced robotics and vehicle automation technologies. You will own the end‑to‑end design, from concept through deployment, ensuring safety‑critical systems operate reliably in real‑world environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop the complete software architecture for autonomous vehicle and robotic systems.
• Establish robust CI/CD pipelines for safety‑critical software components.
• Lead architectural design for computer vision, sensor integration, digital‑twin technology and real‑time simulations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to embed software into physical hardware.
• Guide technical direction and mentor the development team.

Required profile

• British nationality due to security obligations.
• Proven experience as a technical leader in Linux‑based, real‑time software development.
• Strong background in safety‑critical software engineering.
• Degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent.

Required skills

• Linux operating system.
• C, C++ and Python programming.
• Real‑time and safety‑critical software development.
• ROS (Robot Operating System).
• Machine‑learning algorithms.
• Computer‑vision techniques and tools.
• Digital‑twin and real‑time simulation concepts.
• Sensor integration and basic electronics (reading schematics).
