Soldering Technician

About the role

Our client, a well‑established engineering manufacturer in Swindon, is seeking a skilled Soldering Technician to join the production team. You will work on high‑quality cable and electrical assemblies, ensuring precise soldering and meeting production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fine soldering to a high standard on cable and wiring products.
• Assemble cables and wiring according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Prepare cables, crimp terminals and complete wiring assemblies.
• Inspect finished products to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Use hand tools and small assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area and follow health & safety procedures.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining accuracy.

Required profile

• Previous soldering experience in an engineering, electronics or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate of £13.00.
• Full‑time, part‑time and temporary contracts.
• Shift pattern: Monday‑Thursday 08:00‑16:30, Friday 08:00‑16:00.
