Sole In-House Legal Counsel (3‑6 month contract)

About the role

This interim position offers an experienced solicitor the chance to act as the sole legal adviser for a leading organisation operating in a highly regulated environment. Over a 3‑6 month period, you will support senior stakeholders on commercial, corporate and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on commercial contracts, corporate governance and regulatory issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate customer, supplier, procurement and service agreements.
• Lead company secretarial duties and ensure statutory compliance.
• Manage disputes, litigation and coordinate with external counsel.
• Support strategic projects such as acquisitions, restructurings and other corporate initiatives.
• Develop and improve legal templates, policies and processes.

Required profile

• Solicitor qualified in England & Wales with 7+ years PQE.
• Strong background in corporate and commercial law.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of company secretarial and governance matters.
• Proven ability to manage disputes and litigation.
• Previous in‑house or standalone legal role is advantageous.
