Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant – Basingstoke

About the role

A welcoming primary school in Basingstoke is looking for a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. You will work closely with teachers and the support team to help pupils with additional needs access the curriculum and thrive in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEN.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
• Adapt learning materials to meet individual pupil requirements.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
