About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team in Witham. You will work closely with pupils who have special educational needs, helping them achieve their personal and academic goals in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑on‑one assistance to students, supporting their individual learning goals.
- Assist in implementing specialised learning plans and educational interventions.
- Create and maintain a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and report on pupils’ academic and social‑emotional development.
- Support students during outings, field trips and extracurricular activities.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy and ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual needs.
- Relevant experience or qualifications in special education (desirable but not essential).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
