Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

About the role

Seva Education is expanding its network of schools and is looking for a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. You will work alongside class teachers to support pupils in Key Stages 2, 3, 4 and further education, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in planning, preparing and resourcing lessons.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils with SEND.
• Promote independence, self‑esteem and social inclusion.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment and manage behaviour in line with school policy.
• Observe pupil performance and relay observations to the teacher.
• Supervise the class when the teacher is temporarily unavailable.
• Use ICT tools to enhance pupil learning.

Required profile

• Willingness to undergo DBS and child protection checks.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Positive attitude, reliable and able to work as part of a team.

Required skills

• ICT proficiency.
