About the role
Vivid Healthcare is seeking an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Specialist Biomedical Scientist (BMS) to work on a locum basis within the Histology department in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role starts ASAP and is ongoing, offering a competitive hourly rate.
Key responsibilities
- Perform histology microtomy at a minimum rate of 20 blocks per hour.
- Ensure compliance with HCPC registration requirements while delivering laboratory services.
Required profile
- Band 6 or Band 7 Specialist Biomedical Scientist (BMS) with HCPC registration.
- Minimum 12 months recent experience in a UK hospital setting.
- Proven experience in Microbiology.
Required skills
- Microtomy (minimum 20 blocks per hour).
