Specialist Hygiene Technician – Croydon

About the role

Rentokil is looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join its Croydon branch, serving South West and South East London. The role involves delivering a wide range of hygiene and specialised cleaning services to commercial and public premises, with full training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reactive cleaning assignments such as biohazard, flood water damage, infection control, police and prison cell cleaning, sharps removal, and crime‑scene remediation.
• Carry out technical cleaning tasks including factory, high‑level, and silo cleaning.
• Work as part of an on‑call rota, adapting to changing weekly priorities.
• Provide customers with expert advice and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for at least two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varied patterns and support business needs.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces; DBS check may be required.

• Competitive salary starting at £26,655 per annum plus allowances, with OTE around £35,000.
