Specialist Hygiene Technician – Croydon

About the role

Rentokil is looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join its Croydon branch, covering South West and South East London. No prior experience is required as you will receive industry‑leading training to deliver a wide range of hygiene and cleaning services for commercial and industrial premises.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reactive hygiene cleaning services including biohazard, flood damage, infection control, police and prison cell cleaning, sharps removal, trauma and crime scene cleaning.
• Carry out technical cleaning tasks such as factory cleans, high‑level work, silo cleaning and confined‑space cleaning.
• Work on an on‑call rota and respond to customer requests promptly.
• Offer advice to customers and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and proactive with excellent customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work varied patterns and on‑call hours.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Potentially pass a DBS check depending on the assignment.

• Competitive salary starting at £26,655 per annum plus allowances, OTE around £35,000.
