Specialist Hygiene Technician – Croydon

About the role

Rentokil is looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join its Croydon team, serving South West and South East London. The role involves delivering a wide range of hygiene and cleaning services to commercial and institutional premises, with full training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reactive cleaning assignments such as bio‑hazard decontamination, flood water damage restoration, infection control, and crime‑scene remediation.
• Clean specialised environments including police and prison cells, factories, high‑level sites and silos.
• Work on an on‑call rota, receiving enhanced rates for out‑of‑hours work.
• Provide customers with expert advice and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for at least two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and proactive with excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt working patterns to business needs.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces; DBS check may be required.

• Valid driving licence.

• Competitive base salary of £26,655 plus a £2,000 annual allowance, with OTE around £35,000.
