Specialist Hygiene Technician

About the role

Rentokil is looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join its Croydon team, serving South West and South East London. The role involves delivering a wide range of hygiene and cleaning services to diverse premises, with full training provided. No prior experience is required, making it an ideal entry‑level opportunity for motivated individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hygiene cleaning services such as biohazard cleaning, flood water damage cleanup, infection control, police and prison cell cleaning, sharps removal, trauma and crime‑scene cleaning.
• Perform technical cleaning tasks including factory cleans, high‑level work, and silo cleaning.
• Work reactively in a fast‑paced environment where assignments vary week to week.
• Participate in an on‑call rota and offer valuable advice to customers as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional image.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Flexibility to adapt working patterns to business needs.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• May be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role.
