Specialist Respiratory Pharmacist (Band 7) – Fixed Term

About the role

We are seeking a Specialist Respiratory Pharmacist (Band 7) on a fixed‑term basis to join our dynamic team at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, part of Barts Health. The role offers the chance to work within a multidisciplinary respiratory directorate delivering high‑quality clinical pharmacy services to patients with complex respiratory conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy support to specialist respiratory teams, including severe asthma, cystic fibrosis, tuberculosis, NTM‑PD and interstitial lung disease.
• Develop, lead and evaluate pharmacist‑led clinics and projects across the respiratory pathway.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing medication expertise and therapeutic recommendations.
• Conduct clinical audits, ensure medication safety and support service improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior pharmacy staff and support the development of the respiratory pharmacy service.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Demonstrated experience in respiratory pharmacy and delivery of high‑quality clinical services.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development in specialist respiratory care.
