Specialty Doctor – Sexual Health (HIV & GUM) – 12‑month cover

About the role

We are looking for a committed Specialty Doctor to join our integrated Sexual Health team across the East of England. This 12‑month fixed‑term position provides 24 hours per week of clinical care, covering parental leave and supporting both complex and routine sexual health services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialist HIV and GUM care, including complex STI management and follow‑up.
• Conduct comprehensive sexual health assessments, testing and treatment.
• Provide HIV testing, counselling and results in a sensitive, non‑judgemental manner.
• Contribute to prevention strategies such as PrEP, vaccination and health promotion.
• Support nurse‑led clinics with expert clinical advice.
• Participate in teaching, audit, research and continuous service improvement.

Required profile

• Full GMC registration.
• Demonstrated experience in HIV and GUM/Sexual Health.
• Knowledge of BASHH guidelines and evidence‑based practice.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient‑centred approach.
