About the role
The Medicine for the Elderly team at Raigmore Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide high‑quality, person‑centred care for patients with complex medical needs. You will work on Ward 2C, caring for 30 patients who often have frailty, cognitive impairment, and multiple long‑term conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence‑based nursing care within a multidisciplinary team.
- Support patients with dementia, Parkinson’s disease and palliative care needs.
- Contribute to care planning and clinical assessments for a diverse elderly population.
- Collaborate with the Senior Charge Nurse and wider team to ensure safe, effective care.
- Participate in a 12‑hour rotational shift pattern.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic, proactive and team‑focused with strong communication skills.
- Passionate about caring for elderly patients with complex conditions.
- Willingness to work 12‑hour rotational shifts.
