Staff Nurse – Inpatient Services

About the role

Mid Argyll Hospital is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the Inpatient Services team on the west coast of Scotland. You will work on a 15‑bed GP acute ward, providing high‑quality care to patients admitted with acute conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to acute admissions on the GP acute ward.
• Collaborate with the multi‑disciplinary team to support rehabilitation, day‑case therapies and transfusions.
• Assist the Accident & Emergency department and outpatient services as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to clinical governance standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current NMC (or equivalent) registration.
• Experience in acute care or similar hospital environment.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and patient‑centred care.
• Ability to work effectively within a busy, multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Clinical nursing skills in acute care.
• Medication administration and IV therapy.
• Patient assessment and monitoring.
• Use of hospital information systems for documentation.
