About the role

Join a small, highly motivated team at the Borders Eye Centre delivering patient‑centred care for a wide range of ophthalmic conditions. This permanent position offers the chance to develop your nursing expertise in both outpatient settings and the cataract theatre.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to patients in the ophthalmic outpatient clinic.
• Assist in cataract theatre procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Conduct patient assessments, record observations, and support treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with ophthalmologists, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to NHS standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current UK registration.
• Motivated and able to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑focused care.

Required skills

• Ophthalmic nursing experience or strong interest in eye care.
• Familiarity with cataract theatre procedures and protocols.
