About the role

The Ward 1 Department at Belford Hospital is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join a 12‑bed mixed‑specialty unit delivering rehabilitation, long‑term condition management and palliative care. You will work closely with community partners to facilitate complex patient discharges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑standard nursing care to patients across rehabilitation, chronic disease and palliative pathways.
• Collaborate with community colleagues to coordinate safe and efficient discharges.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical practice within the ward.
• Support the personal and professional development of the nursing team.

Required profile

• Post‑registration nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Enthusiastic, innovative approach to teamwork.
• Highly developed patient assessment skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement of clinical practice.
