Staff Nurse – Ward 1, St Andrews Community Hospital

About the role

We are seeking two Staff Nurses to join Ward 1 at St Andrews Community Hospital. This 24‑bed rehabilitation unit provides care for older adults focusing on recovery, adaptation and discharge planning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients in a rehabilitation setting.
• Coordinate and contribute to complex discharge planning, ensuring safe transitions from hospital to home or community services.
• Promote and uphold health and safety standards, identifying and mitigating risks in patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, communicating effectively with patients, families and staff at all levels.
• Utilise information technology systems to document care and support clinical decision‑making.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualified to practice in the United Kingdom.
• Passion for caring for older adults with a focus on rehabilitation and recovery.
• Experience in delivering person‑centred care and managing complex discharge processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage complex situations and contribute to a positive safety culture.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IT systems used in clinical settings.
