Staff Nurse – Ward (Full‑time, 37.5h)

About the role

We are seeking a registered Staff Nurse to join the Ward team at Fulwood Hall Hospital in Preston. You will work within a multidisciplinary clinical team to deliver safe, efficient and personalised patient care in a private surgical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑standard nursing care to patients on a surgical ward, following Ramsay policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the wider clinical team.
• Document care accurately and contribute to patient safety initiatives such as the ‘Speaking Up for Safety’ programme.
• Support pre‑operative assessment, post‑operative recovery and discharge planning.
• Maintain infection control standards and adhere to the hospital’s zero‑MRSA policy.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Previous experience working on a surgical ward.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible, positive attitude with a warm and empathetic character.
