Stockroom Controller – Retail & Luxury Fashion

About the role

The Stockroom Controller ensures accurate and efficient management of stockroom operations for Max Mara’s flagship store in Edinburgh and its concession within Harvey Nichols. Working full‑time on‑site, you will handle incoming merchandise, maintain inventory records, and support the sales floor and visual‑merchandising teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check, label and organise all incoming merchandise.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records and monitor stock levels.
• Prepare products for the sales floor and coordinate replenishment.
• Conduct regular stock counts, investigate discrepancies and report findings.
• Collaborate with store management, sales and visual‑merchandising teams to optimise product availability.
• Ensure the stockroom remains clean, safe and compliant with company procedures for shipping, returns and transfers.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving merchandise in line with safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in stockroom, inventory or logistics roles within retail, preferably fashion or luxury goods.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and peak periods.
• Customer‑focused mindset and collaborative working style.
