Storage Automation / Python Developer – Hybrid

About the role

We are seeking a Storage Automation Developer with strong Python (or Perl) skills to design and build scalable, highly‑available solutions that support the enterprise storage infrastructure of a leading investment bank. The position blends software development, storage engineering and infrastructure automation in a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop highly available, scalable applications for enterprise storage platforms.
• Build automation tools for storage provisioning, monitoring, alerting, auditing and inventory management.
• Create internal applications that integrate with storage platforms and support problem management, preventive maintenance and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with third‑party vendors to architect and integrate storage technologies.
• Support storage virtualization, software‑defined storage and distributed/scale‑out file systems.
• Develop automation and observability capabilities across large‑scale infrastructure environments.
• Troubleshoot complex issues spanning operating systems, networks and storage infrastructure.
• Engage with internal customers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Proven development experience in Python and/or Perl.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and engineering best practices.
• Experience working in Linux/RHEL environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across OS, networking and storage domains.
• Hands‑on experience with storage automation, provisioning, monitoring and capacity management.
