About the role

Morrisons is recruiting a Store Colleague for its Morrisons Daily store on Shady Grove Road in Carlisle. The role is permanent, 14 hours per week, with a competitive salary and excellent benefits. The store sells alcohol, so candidates must be over 18. The role involves regular lone working, and candidates must be comfortable and confident working alone in the store.

Key responsibilities

• Cover a variety of tasks in the store after training
• Till and cash operation, including the Post Office as required (subject to DBS)
• Stock control and merchandising
• Prepare Food to Go as required
• Ensure the store operates safely and legally
• Cover the supervisor role in the store (with additional pay for hours covered)
• Lone working, which is an essential and routine part of the role

Required profile

• A flexible approach to working hours, including early mornings and some late nights
• Enjoys being active and working in a fast-paced, varied environment
• Confident working independently when lone working is required
• Over 18 years old (required for premises selling alcohol)
